Skymax was established to digitally transform and empower businesses around the world with solutions that increase efficiency, reduce cost, improve safety and even save lives through innovative technology utilising unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s), otherwise known as drones.

Our Story

May 2017

SKYMAX was born. SKYMAX Pty Ltd (ACN 619 109 143) was incorporated on the 15th May 2017 in Victoria. Max Lye, Director realised the huge potential of using drones for good to improve safety, efficiency and cut costs. There was a gap in the market, and the opportunity to scale.

July 2017

SKYMAX is granted a Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operator’s Certificate (CASA.ReOC.6456) by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia to authorise it to conduct commercial drone operations across all Aerial Work categories.

March 2018

Opened Head Office in Darwin, Australia.

June 2018

SKYMAX is granted approval to operate across all RPA Categories (Aeroplane & Multirotor) including an extension until 30 June 2021.

August 2018

SKYMAX becomes the first company in Australia to operate a drone on the movement area (i.e. runway, taxiways) of a major International Airport in Australia.
