A new multi-year services agreement with INPEX will see Territory UAV company SKYMAX, deliver a wide range of industrial asset inspection and survey services utilising drone technology to the INPEX operated Ichthys LNG onshore facilities.
INPEX Onshore Implementation Manager Mark Wilson said the use of drone technology minimises the need for INPEX and its contractors to work at heights for maintenance inspections.
“The drone technology is innovating how we work and making it safer for our people so we are really pleased to partner with a local Darwin business on this contract,” Mark said.
Being at the helm of cutting-edge technology has reaped rewards for SKYMAX, according to CEO, Max Lye.

Alongside expanding the use of innovative drone technology at the Ichthys LNG onshore facilities, SKYMAX plans to expand and upskill its local workforce to support the multi-year contract.
